See You at Work Tomorrow! is off to a steady start.

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama See You at Work Tomorrow!, which aired June 22nd, recorded an average nationwide rating of 4.8% among paid households.

The premiere introduced the tense first meeting between Saeum Electronics senior manager Cha Ji Yoon (Park Ji Hyun) and her workplace superior Kang Si Woo (Seo In Guk). After an unexpected issue with ice production sends Ji Yoon to the company’s Gwangju factory, she tries to handle the situation on her own — only for Si Woo to appear.

After discovering that the sphere ice refrigerator is producing imperfect ice, Si Woo suggests halting the product launch altogether. Ji Yoon pushes back, warning that a delay could allow competitors to get ahead, but Si Woo remains firm that they cannot rush out an unfinished product.

With the issue unresolved, Ji Yoon and Si Woo end up taking a helicopter back to headquarters together in an awkward silence.

The episode also revealed that Ji Yoon had been hurt in love because of her first love, while Si Woo was shown to have known about her long before their first meeting. Their connection officially begins when Si Woo is later appointed team leader of the team next to Ji Yoon’s.

See You at Work Tomorrow! premiered with 4.8%, coming in lower than its predecessor, The Legend of Kitchen Soldier. Still, as the previous drama rose early in its run and eventually reached the 7% range, attention is now on how See You at Work Tomorrow! will perform in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama Doctor on the Edge recorded 4.0% the same day.
