A Belgian fashion designer who previously called out BLACKPINK member Jisoo over unreturned clothing has provided a new update to clarify the situation.

Benjamin Bortmans, the head of fashion brand Judassime, uploaded a video to social media on May 6th. He explained in the footage that the dispute is currently being settled. “I was just contacted that everything is being resolved. Someone will be sent to Korea from the United States to retrieve the items,” Bortmans stated.

The conflict initially gained attention when Bortmans tagged Jisoo’s personal account in a post demanding the return of his garments. He alleged that he had sent several custom outfits to her team for an album cover shoot six months ago, but the items were never returned despite repeated delays.

While he confirmed that the situation is now being handled smoothly, he also addressed the backlash he received from fans. He stated that designers invest significant time into their work and explained that being ignored for months felt disrespectful. He declined to apologize for mentioning Jisoo specifically, noting that he believed the entire team needed to handle issues more professionally to prevent this from happening to others.

Bortmans followed up with a second video to clear up any perceived animosity toward the singer himself. He clarified that he is receiving many hate messages, but wanted to make it clear that he never intended to attack Jisoo personally. He noted that his decision to use her name was a strategic move to get a response from her staff because her name was listed throughout the shoot’s email correspondence. He concluded by admitting that he had been in a very emotional state and may have spoken too hastily, but he expressed relief that both parties can now move forward.
