Are NewJeans gearing up for a return? Fans think so.

A recording and mixing studio in Copenhagen recently published a booking schedule on its official website, listing a reservation under the name “ADOR/LL” from April 13th to 17th. The name ADOR quickly fueled speculation that NewJeans may have been recording new music.

The timing only added to the buzz. Around the same period, members Hyein and Haerin were reportedly spotted in Copenhagen, with sightings spreading on Chinese social platform Weibo. The two were seen walking with staff and carrying filming equipment, drawing attention.

Reports also suggested Hanni was with them, and ADOR later confirmed on the 14th that the members had indeed visited Copenhagen with staff. The studio booking has only intensified anticipation that new music could be on the way.

The group’s situation has been in flux. In October last year, ADOR won a lawsuit confirming the validity of its exclusive contracts with all five members. Following the ruling, Hyein, Haerin, and Hanni decided to move forward with activities. Minji is still in discussions, while Danielle has left the group after being notified of contract termination.

Legal battles tied to the agency are also ongoing. According to StarNews, the Seoul Western District Court has scheduled a May 15th hearing for a 2.5 billion KRW (about 1.7 million USD) damages lawsuit filed by Source Music and Belift Lab against former CEO Min Hee Jin.

Separately, in a 43.1 billion won penalty and damages lawsuit between ADOR and Danielle, ADOR’s legal team recently filed to withdraw from the case just weeks before a scheduled hearing — a move some have interpreted as a delay strategy to prolong the artist’s forced hiatus.

For now, fans are watching closely to see whether the Copenhagen trip marks the start of NewJeans’ next chapter.
