Park Ji Hoon is soaking in a career-defining moment and staying grounded through it all.
Fresh off the massive success of The King’s Warden, which climbed to No. 2 on Korea’s all-time box office list, the actor-singer is now gracing the covers of Singles Korea and Singles Japan’s May issues. Park reinterprets traditional hanbok with a modern twist, pairing it with his signature soft, expressive gaze.
In an interview, Park admitted he never expected the film to reach such heights. “I didn’t think it would receive this much love,” he said, adding that when choosing projects, he prioritizes the feelings a story leaves behind for the audience.
He described The King’s Warden as especially meaningful, recalling how deeply he immersed himself in the role. “I cried a lot while filming and gave it everything I had,” he shared. “It’s a project that meant a lot to me, so I’m incredibly grateful for all the love it’s getting.”

As for the performance that’s drawn widespread praise—particularly his emotional, lingering gaze—Park kept things light. “I have to thank my parents,” he said with a laugh.
Park Ji Hoon also spoke candidly about reuniting with Wanna One after seven years, saying he missed both the members and the chance to reconnect with fans. Despite initial concerns about whether their chemistry would still click, he said those worries quickly disappeared. “As soon as we met, we were laughing nonstop,” he shared, hinting at the group’s unchanged bond.
Closing out the interview, Park expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans. “I wouldn’t be here without their support,” he said. “I want to keep improving and show things that only Park Ji Hoon can.”
