SEVENTEEN member Mingyu recently found himself at the center of online speculation after a video of him visiting a club following the group’s Asia tour stop in Singapore began circulating online.

Mingyu was spotted at a club in Singapore’s Tanjong Pagar area on March 8th after wrapping SEVENTEEN’s concert at the Singapore National Stadium.

The video, which has spread widely on social media, shows Mingyu dancing and enjoying the music with friends and fellow members. Vernon and The8 were reportedly also present during the outing as the group spent some personal downtime after the show.

In the clip, Mingyu is seen casually dancing and chatting with people nearby, including a woman believed to be a DJ at the venue. However, some online users shared edited versions of the footage and claimed Mingyu had approached the woman with flirtatious intentions, sparking speculation and criticism online.

Fans quickly pushed back against the claims, sharing additional videos showing Mingyu simply enjoying the music with friends, saying the original clip had been misleadingly edited.

The situation appears to have cooled after the fuller footage circulated.

Ahead of the Singapore tour stop, SEVENTEEN’s agency Pledis Entertainment had also hosted a “SEVENTEEN theme party” with a well-known DJ at a popular local club on the 6th.

Meanwhile, some fans are calling for action against individuals who they say intentionally spread misleading edits of Mingyu’s private outing.
