Jisoo revealed she sees her Boyfriend on Demand co-star Seo In Guk as her “diet rival.”
On March 5, Netflix Korea’s YouTube channel released a video featuring the two actors, where they shared behind-the-scenes stories from filming the upcoming series.
Jisoo drew laughs when she spoke about Seo In Guk’s current diet. When asked if he had been rewarding himself with good food lately, she replied, “No. These days he’s basically starving.”
She explained that Seo In Guk had set a goal to lose about 4 kilograms (around 8.8 pounds), but had already dropped more weight than expected. “He said earlier it was 3 kilograms,” the BLACKPINK star said. “That means he already lost another kilogram.”
She added with a smile, “He’s my diet rival. Since I also have to lose weight, I thought, ‘He already lost another kilogram? He’s not an easy opponent.'”

Seo In Guk chimed in with their dynamic during filming. “If I gain weight, Jisoo seems relaxed,” he said. “But if I lose weight, she starts to feel a sense of crisis.”
Jisoo laughed and agreed. “I get anxious.”
Seo In Guk also shared that he has recently been watching a lot of mukbang videos. “It’s become a hobby,” he said. “It actually gives me a sense of satisfaction.” Jisoo related, saying mukbang sometimes sparks her competitive side. “Even while watching, I start thinking, ‘I could eat that much too.'”
Boyfriend on Demand is a romantic comedy about a webtoon producer Mi Rae who turns to a virtual dating simulation service that allows users to experience and “subscribe” to different relationships.
