Rosé made her Grammy Awards red carpet debut as anticipation built around her potential historic win at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

Rosé appeared on the red carpet ahead of the main ceremony on February 1st (local time) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Wearing a black mini dress paired with flowing white fabric draped over her shoulders, the blonde-haired star balanced elegance with a playful edge as cameras flashed.

Earlier in the day, Rosé and Bruno Mars did not take home the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their collaboration “APT.” The category ultimately went to Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande for “Defying Gravity” from the musical film Wicked. The category has historically proven challenging for K-pop acts, including BTS, who were previously nominated but did not win.

Meanwhile, Rosé and the K-Pop Demon Hunters team narrowly missed out on the Song of the Year award at the 68th Grammy Awards. The coveted trophy went to Billie Eilish’s ‘Wildflower’. She was also nominated for Record of the Year, but the award went to Kendrick Lamar and SZA for their song “Luther.”

Rosé is also set to take the Grammy stage as a performer, with expectations high that she and Bruno Mars will perform “APT.” during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, K-pop made Grammy history as the Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters secured a win with its original soundtrack song “Golden.” The track won Best Song Written for Visual Media, an award given to the songwriters behind the work.

The winning team includes EJAE, Teddy, 24, and IDO, marking the first-ever Grammy win for a K-pop project. “Golden,” performed by the fictional girl group Huntrix in the film, became a global hit and charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks.

The song was also nominated in major categories, including Song of the Year, Best Remixed Recording, and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, cementing “Golden” as one of the most successful K-pop songs ever recognized by the Recording Academy.
