Choi Sooyoung has publicly expressed her heartfelt support for her fellow Girls’ Generation member Tiffany Young‘s upcoming wedding.
The press conference for the new drama I DOL I was held on December 16th at D-Cube City in Seoul, with stars Sooyoung and Kim Jae Young in attendance.
When asked about Tiffany’s recent relationship news, Choi Sooyoung couldn’t hide her happiness. “I am so happy. It’s truly joyful news,” she said. “I’m cheering for her so much.“
She added, “My best friends in life are my members. I congratulate her on whatever choice she makes,” before cautiously noting, “It’s a bit careful for me to speak on her behalf.“
Tiffany Young recently confirmed she is in a relationship with actor Byun Yo Han, her co-star in the Disney Plus series Uncle Samsik. Reports indicate the couple is preparing for a wedding next autumn.
While their agencies stated that a specific date hasn’t been finalized, they confirmed, “Both actors have expressed their wish to inform fans first as soon as their plans are set.“
Tiffany also shared the news personally on social media, writing, “I am currently in a serious relationship with someone with marriage in mind.” She described Byun Yo Han as “someone who gives me stability and makes me view the world with positivity and hope.“
Choi Sooyoung is currently promoting I DOL I, a mystery courtroom romance where she plays Maeng Se Na, a star lawyer and secret fangirl. The plot kicks off when she takes on the defense of her “ultimate bias,” the idol Do Ra Ik (played by Kim Jae Young), who has been accused of murder.
The drama promises a mix of thrill and romance as Maeng Se Na fights to prove her idol’s innocence while hiding her true identity as a fan.
I DOL I premieres on December 22nd at 10 PM KST on Genie TV and ENA.
