Jung So Min is set to take the lead in Netflix’s upcoming series Dealer, transforming into a seasoned casino croupier with nerves of steel.

Industry sources confirmed on October 24th that Jung will star as Jung Geon Hwa, a fourth-year dealer at the luxurious Oceanland Casino. Skilled at card handling and known for her polished, professional smile, Geon Hwa never flinches—no matter what chaos unfolds at her table. At Oceanland, when trouble strikes, everyone calls for her.

The role marks a rare female-led casino drama, drawing comparisons to Song Hye Kyo’s iconic turn as a dealer in the 2003 SBS hit All In. Expectations are high to see how Jung will reinterpret the archetype two decades later with her own flair.

Dealer follows a casino dealer who, desperate to protect her wedding plans from falling apart, breaks her personal vow to never use her dormant supernatural powers—only to find herself entangled in a high-stakes world of crime. It’s a crime-action story of an ordinary bride-to-be facing anything but an ordinary fight for her big day.

The series will be directed by Choi Young Hwan, known for hit films including Tazza, The Thieves, Veteran, and Smugglers, with a screenplay by Lee Tae Young, who previously worked on On Your Wedding Day and Beasts Clawing at Straws.

Jung So Min recently parted ways with her agency IEUM# after two years and is currently seeking new representation. She is also appearing in the SBS drama Would You Marry Me.
