
Yim Si Wan and Seol In Ah are set to bring fresh chemistry to the small screen in the upcoming tvN romantic comedy Why Can’t You Tell I’m a Woman? (literal title).
According to exclusive reports from Xports News on October 24th, both stars are positively reviewing offers to headline the new series. Based on a hit web novel and webtoon of the same name, the project is a gender-bending office rom-com slated to air on tvN next year.
The story follows Yoon I Joon (Yim Si Wan), the eccentric heir to one of Korea’s top conglomerates and a prime suspect in the murder of his female secretary, and Kang Jae Hee (Seol In Ah), a former special forces officer known as a “human weapon” for her unmatched strength and combat skills.
To investigate the case, Jae Hee disguises herself as a man and infiltrates I Joon’s inner circle, posing as his personal secretary and bodyguard. Her secret mission to shadow and protect him sets off a whirlwind of tension, humor, and slow-burning attraction.
Yim Si Wan, a former member of ZE:A, has earned a reputation as a versatile and reliable actor through roles in Unlocked, Boyhood, Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3, and Mantis. Seol In Ah, known for her performances in Oasis, Twinkling Watermelon, and recently showed off her fierce side as a boxing champion on the variety show Iron Girls.
Why Can’t You Tell I’m a Woman? is expected to premiere on tvN in 2025.
