Kim Dan, Shin Seung Ho and Yoo Jung Hoo have joined Suzy in the upcoming fantasy romance drama Men of the Harem (literal title).
Based on the hit web novel of the same name, Men of the Harem follows Empress Latil of the Tarium Empire, who brings male consorts into her court in order to protect the empire—setting off a story filled with intrigue, passion, and power struggles. Suzy headlines as Empress Latil, with Kim Dan, Shin Seung Ho, and Yoo Jung Hoo joining the cast as her chosen consorts.
The series will be helmed by star director Lee Eung Bok, known for global hits including Descendants of the Sun, Goblin, Mr. Sunshine, and Netflix’s Sweet Home. The script is penned by Hwang Jin Young, who wrote the period romance My Dearest. Production is handled by Studio Dragon, one of Korea’s top drama studios.
Kim Dan, who made his debut this year in SBS drama The Winning Try, has quickly drawn attention for his role as Moon Woong, especially for his love triangle with Kim Yo Han and Park Jeong Yeon.
Shin Seung Ho, who debuted in 2018 with the web drama A-Teen, has built an impressive résumé with projects including Love Alarm, Netflix’s D.P. series, Weak Hero Class 1, Alchemy of Souls, and the films Pilot and Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy.
Yoo Jung Hoo debuted in 2022 with Bad Girlfriend and has since appeared in Bitch x Rich, Durian’s Affair, and Who Is She. Most recently, he starred in KBS’s My Girlfriend Is the Man! as Kim Ji Hoon, the man Kim Ji Eun’s character becomes.
With Suzy at the center and a lineup of rising male stars, Men of the Harem is shaping up to be one of the most buzzed-about romance fantasies on the horizon.
