Musical actor Jeon Ho Jun has become embroiled in allegations that he assaulted his former partner, prompting him to respond with a lengthy statement and strong rebuttals.
On May 24th, a woman identified as Jeon’s ex-girlfriend (referred to as “A”) came forward alleging she was a victim of dating violence. According to her, she paid for all their dates and was swindled out of approximately 10 million KRW (approx. 7,300 USD) under the pretense of marriage.
She further claimed that she provided him with 1 million KRW in cash monthly to cover his Pilates expenses, and that Jeon had transmitted herpes to her. On May 23rd, she visited Jeon’s home, where she says she was violently assaulted—accusations that quickly went viral.
In response, Jeon Ho Jun posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram, along with graphic photos of his bloodied face and audio recordings in an attempt to refute the claims.
“The incident A described took place when she attempted to break into my home in the middle of the night, and I tried to stop her,” he wrote. “At first, I did everything I could to calm things down, but when it escalated physically, a struggle broke out. I was also injured, suffering bleeding on my face and head. The photos I shared are only a small part of the evidence that police witnessed and documented at the scene.”
He acknowledged the physical disparity between them but insisted, “This was a physical altercation that occurred while I was trying to stop someone from unlawfully entering my home in the early hours of the morning. I acted purely in self-defense.”
With both parties’ claims contradicting each other, the controversy is escalating into a battle over the truth.
