DJ Koo’s devotion to his late wife Barbie Hsu continues to touch hearts, as reports reveal he visits her grave every day.
On May 20th, Taiwanese media reported that Barbie’s mother shared updates on social media about her son-in-law’s life after loss. According to her, Koo still mourns deeply and has made it a daily routine to visit Barbie’s resting place.
He is also personally designing a memorial statue for Barbie, set to be unveiled on the first anniversary of her passing. “The location is stunning, and every sketch Jun-yup has created is absolutely beautiful,” said Huang, praising his dedication.
Fans have expressed concern over Koo’s recent appearance, with reports saying he has lost more than 12kg (over 26 pounds) since Barbie’s death. His noticeably thinner frame and tanned skin have also drawn attention. Hsu’s mother explained, “He’s tanned because he spends so much time at my daughter’s graveside. Jun-yup is loyal, loving and truly devoted. This is what real love looks like.”
Barbie Hsu passed away suddenly in February at the age of 48 due to complications from the flu while traveling in Japan with her family. Since her death, Koo has stepped away from public life and gone into seclusion. Barbie is buried at Chin Pao San in Taiwan, where Koo continues to honor her memory with daily visits.
