Kim Soo Hyun is taking a firmer stance by filing additional lawsuits and complaints against the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute.
On April 30th, his agency, Gold Medalist, stated, “We have filed an additional criminal complaint against Gaseyeon operator Kim Se Ui for violating the Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes.” Kim Soo Hyun’s side had previously filed a complaint against Kim Se Ui on April 1st as well.
Gold Medalist explained, “Investigative authorities determined that Kim Se Ui’s actions constitute stalking against Kim Soo Hyun. As a result, the authorities applied for a provisional restraining order to halt the stalking on April 22nd, and the Seoul Central District Court approved this request on April 23rd.”
They continued, “Kim Se Ui ignored the court order despite being officially notified of this decision on April 24th and continued to spread false information about Kim Soo Hyun on his YouTube channel.”
The agency emphasized, “Such actions directly defy a court ruling and are subject to criminal punishment, up to two years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million KRW ($14,068). We have therefore taken swift steps to file an additional complaint.”
Kim Soo Hyun’s side has also filed a damages lawsuit worth approximately 12 billion KRW ($8.4 million) against Kim Se Ui and the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae Ron.
