BLACKPINK’s Rosé surprised fans by joining Coldplay onstage at their Seoul concert.

Coldplay held the fourth show of their second Korean tour, Live Nation Presents Coldplay: Music of the Spheres Delivered by DHL, at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on April 22nd.

Chris Martin playfully played the piano intro to the Korean song “APT” during the concert. As the band joined in, Rosé stepped onto the stage, instantly sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Rosé ran across the stage with energy, harmonizing with Chris Martin as they performed “APT.” The audience responded enthusiastically, chanting along to the lyrics. When the song ended and Rosé was about to say goodbye, Chris Martin suggested they perform it again, and the massive sing-along echoed through the venue once more.

One netizen shared a video from the concert, writing, “Rosé suddenly came out at the Coldplay concert and sang ‘Apartment.’ Seriously. Rosé. Came out and sang it. I’m losing it,” and the post quickly went viral.

Rosé and Coldplay are both signed to Warner Music’s Atlantic Records. Rosé reinterpreted Coldplay’s iconic track “Viva La Vida” in 2022. Her version was later featured as the ending theme for Season 2 of the Apple TV Plus series Pachinko.

What makes her surprise appearance even more remarkable is that just the day before, she was seen supporting BLACKPINK members Jennie and Lisa at the Coachella Festival in the U.S. This means she flew back to Korea immediately afterward to join Coldplay onstage.

Watching from the audience was Rosé’s YG Entertainment labelmate, G-Dragon. He attended the concert with Code Kunst and Jung Hae In, with whom he recently collaborated on the show Good Day.

At one point during the show, Chris Martin had the audience laughing as he sat at the piano and mimicked Taeyang’s iconic meme phrase, “Everyone, I missed you so much.”

The twist? Taeyang was actually in the crowd. He later posted a video from the concert with the caption, “Hey Coldplay… I missed you too.”

Coldplay is performing six shows at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium—on April 16th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, 24th and 25th—marking the largest and longest run by a foreign artist at a single Korean venue. The concerts are expected to attract approximately 300,000 fans in total.

BTS’s Jin made a special appearance onstage on April 19th. He performed his debut solo single, “The Astronaut,” and joined Coldplay for their collaborative hit “My Universe,” singing to Chris Martin’s piano accompaniment.

Coldplay also made headlines during their April 18th show with a cheeky comment about Korea’s political situation. Chris Martin joked, “Every time Coldplay comes to Korea, there’s no president.” The crowd erupted in laughter. The band’s first visit in 2017 came just after the impeachment of former President Park Geun Hye, and this current tour follows the recent removal of former President Yoon Suk Yeol.
