So Ji Sub’s highly anticipated new drama Manager Kim has officially locked in its premiere date.
The upcoming SBS Friday-Saturday series will debut June 26th, the network confirmed, following growing buzz surrounding its star-studded cast that includes So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, Yoon Kyung Ho, Joo Sang Wook, Son Na Eun and Kim Sung Kyu.
Based on the hit Naver webtoon of the same name, Manager Kim follows an ordinary father who transforms into a dangerous man in order to rescue his daughter in a high-stakes revenge mission.
The drama is written by Nam Dae Joong, known for films including Love Reset and The First Ride, and directed by Lee Seung Young, whose previous works include Wonderful World and Tracer. Director Lee So Eun also joined the project.
According to the production team, the cast showed strong chemistry from their very first table read, teasing a series packed with action, twists and character-driven moments.
Director Lee Seung Young also shared his hopes for the drama, saying, “I’ll do my best so that by the end, people can say it was fun and truly an amazing experience.”
The production team added, “Not only So Ji Sub, Choi Dae Hoon, Yoon Kyung Ho, Joo Sang Wook, Son Na Eun and Kim Sung Kyoo, but a lineup of talented actors with incredible presence and acting skills will come together for ‘Manager Kim.’ We hope viewers look forward to it.”
Manager Kim premieres June 26th on SBS.
