Following news of Lee Si Young’s divorce, a familiar face from her TikTok videos has unexpectedly caught the spotlight.

The actress, known for her playful short-form content, often appears alongside a bespectacled man, leading many to mistakenly believe he was her husband. However, he’s actually her longtime content director.

Lee Si Young previously addressed the misconception on “Eun Se’s Gourmet Room,” a YouTube show hosted by Ki Eun Se. “He’s my age and not even married,” the actress laughed. “He always says, ‘Why do people keep thinking we’re together?’” She went on to explain how their collaboration started: “At first, I had to convince him to help me shoot. I even bribed him with chicken and beer. But now, we’ve become really close friends.”

During the show, Lee also shared why she started making short-form content in the first place. “Because of all my working out, I always get cast as tough characters—prosecutors, detectives, cops. But I actually love comedy. Since I wasn’t getting the chance to do it in my acting career, I turned to TikTok.”

Previously on the 17th, her agency, Ace Factory, confirmed that she and her husband, a restaurant entrepreneur, had “mutually agreed to part ways” but declined to comment further, citing privacy concerns.

Even on the day of her divorce announcement, Lee kept her spirits high, sharing a serene photo in front of the Eiffel Tower at sunset. “Goodbye, beautiful Eiffel Tower at dusk. I hope every day can be this peaceful, surrounded by loved ones,” she wrote. Fans have since flooded her Instagram with messages of support. Comments like “You’re amazing—cheering you on!” and “Stay strong and keep smiling!” have filled her posts, with Lee personally liking many of them in response.
