Fellow musicians in the music industry have left memorial messages through social media after hearing the sudden news of Wheesung’s death.
On March 10th, 2AM’s Changmin posted on his Instagram, “An artist I really wanted to be like,” and added, “I will always remember you. Rest in peace,” paying tribute to the late singer. Another 2AM member Jo Kwon expressed his sorrow over the artist’s death by sharing Wheesung’s song “The Story I Couldn’t Tell.”
VIBE’s Yun Min Soo also remembered Wheesung by writing, “Wheesung, sing and make music comfortably there. I won’t forget your clear and pure heart. Let’s meet again later and sing together again.” Along with this message, Yun Min Soo also posted a video of himself and Wheesung performing a duet of Toy’s “That I Lived Briefly By Your Side” on SBS’s music show Fantastic Duo.

On the same day, Rapper Verbal Jint posted on his Instagram, “Every moment we shared was an honor and I’m grateful. You worked so hard. Rest in peace, Wheesung.”

Rappers Hangzoo, Paloalto, Changmo, San E, entertainer Ha Ri Su, Kim Chang Youl, and others also conveyed their condolences.
Earlier on the 10th, Wheesung’s agency Tajo Entertainment announced, “We are sorry to deliver such heartbreaking and devastating news. On March 10th, our artist Wheesung has left us. The deceased was found in cardiac arrest at his Seoul home and was pronounced dead,” arousing deep sadness.
Police are planning to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to investigate the specific cause of Wheesung’s death.
