The Blue Dragon Film Awards recently deleted hashtags supporting Jung Woo Sung from their social media account.
On November 30th, the Blue Dragon Film Awards shared a video on their official Instagram account with hashtags such as “#TheBlueDragon’sSincerity” and “#JungWooSung’sSincerity.”
The video featured Jung Woo Sung apologizing for his “love child scandal” during the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards held on November 29th at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.
During his speech, Jung Woo Sung expressed gratitude to the audience for watching 12.12: The Day and explained his decision to attend the event: “I sincerely thank everyone who watched 12.12: The Day. I stand here today hoping that my personal matters will not tarnish the film or the efforts of everyone involved in its production.”
He continued, “To all those who have shown me love and support, I deeply apologize for causing concern and disappointment. I will take full responsibility for all criticisms and will fulfill my responsibilities as a father to my son.”
However, the public reaction was harsh, with comments such as: “Talking about sincerity? Give me a break”, “How little does he think of the public?”and “This doesn’t seem like a situation where he deserves applause.”
As criticism toward Jung Woo Sung continued to mount, the Blue Dragon Film Awards appeared to take notice. They deleted the hashtags“#TheBlueDragon’sSincerity” and “#JungWooSung’sSincerity” and also disabled comments on the video.
