A clip where Moon Ga Bi addresses rumors about plastic surgery has come to light again, coinciding with her name being mentioned in the recent controversy involving actor Jung Woo Sung and an alleged child from an extramarital relationship.
This video, which originated from a 2018 MBC’s Section TV Entertainment News interview, has gained renewed interest. Moon Ga Bi was accompanied by stylist and TV figure Kim Woo Ri during the interview. The show Section TV continued airing until January 2020 before concluding its run.
Moon Ga Bi talked about the assumptions she frequently encounters due to her distinctive looks, sharing a light-hearted story: “When I go to Thailand, people greet me with ‘Sawasdee Ka,’ and I respond, ‘Sorry, I don’t speak Thai.’”
She also took a moment to tackle the persistent rumors regarding her undergoing plastic surgery, replying with refreshing candor. “I did have double eyelid surgery,” she confessed. “I’m not secretive about it. If someone inquires, I’m open about it. I’m quite upfront with these matters.” She further clarified, “Many assume I’ve undergone extensive procedures, but it’s really just my eyelids that have been altered.”
Concerning her numerous bikini snaps on social media, Moon Ga Bi clarified that she doesn’t share them for approval or to receive praise. “I share them because I feel good about my body,” she remarked, noting that she’s largely unbothered by negative feedback. “When I encounter such comments, I just think, Oh, alright.” Moon Ga Bi reminisced about some remarks that she appeared transgender, which led her to ponder, Maybe I just have an androgynous look.
On a more intimate level, Moon Ga Bi revealed that she manages all her styling herself. “I trust no one can style me better than I do,” she expressed with assurance. “I genuinely appreciate myself.”
