BIGBANG‘s 20th anniversary concert turned into a star-studded celebration, with IU, members of 2NE1 and several celebrity friends and family members spotted in the crowd.
BIGBANG recently marked two decades since their debut with a concert at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province, where G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung were joined by a number of familiar faces.
IU drew particular attention after arriving with BIGBANG’s official light stick, known as the “Bang Bong.” Dressed casually in a cap and mask, she was seen watching the show from the audience like any other fan.
The singer has a longtime friendship with G-Dragon. The pair worked together on IU’s 2017 hit “Palette,” with G-Dragon featuring on the track and contributing to the rap. Their friendship was again on display last March when he appeared on IU’s YouTube channel.
During that appearance, IU recalled G-Dragon attending one of her concerts and gifting her a bottle of wine from 2008, the year she debuted.
Several 2NE1 members also came out to celebrate BIGBANG’s milestone. Sandara Park, CL and Minzy attended the show, with Minzy later sharing a photo of herself alongside G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung, Sandara and CL.
The reunion drew an enthusiastic response from fans, given BIGBANG and 2NE1’s long history together under YG Entertainment. Park Bom was not present, so the appearance stopped short of a full 2NE1 reunion.
Family members also joined the celebration. Actor Kim Min Jun shared photos of his son Eden, whom he shares with G-Dragon’s sister Kwon Dami, attending the concert. G-Dragon is known to be especially close with his nephew.
Taeyang‘s older brother, actor Dong Hyun Bae, was also there and posted a backstage photo with the singer.
“I guess it’s been 20 years since we’ve been taking photos like this,” he wrote. “You shined the brightest again today. Congratulations, and thank you for putting on another incredible show.”
Actor Park Eun Hye was also spotted attending the concert with Dong Hyun Bae.
