Netflix announced that its popular variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B will return for a second season on Tuesday, September 22nd.
The new season features returning host Kian84 alongside new cast members Kim Yeon Koung, Junho and Kazuha as they run an unconventional inn in the snowy region of Daegwallyeong. Netflix released an official group poster and teaser trailer on August 24th to spark anticipation for the upcoming premiere.
The poster showcases the new inn built on the snow-covered slopes of Daegwallyeong during mid-winter. Kian84 returns as an experienced yet still eccentric owner, supported by a passionate new staff who work hard to manage the guesthouse while keeping their boss in check.
The teaser trailer highlights Kian84’s wild design concepts, including blueprints for a giant floating balloon and a massive rolling wheel. His co-stars express utter shock as his eccentric ideas come to life. The trailer captures Kim Yeon Koung exclaiming, “This is crazy,” Junho staring in speechlessness and Kazuha nervously asking if guests will actually be able to visit. Kian84 himself appears visibly flustered at the scale of his own design, warning the team that they need to get serious.
Season 2 promises even greater hardship and chaos than the Ulleungdo-based first season. The cast faces brutal winter conditions that force them to shovel heavy snow, hand-wash laundry without a washing machine, and rely on primitive campfires for heat.
The dynamic between Kian84 and his new crew drives much of the show’s humor. Kim Yeon-koung openly complains about the inn’s absurd setup, prompting Junho to remind Kian84 that he brought this on himself. Kian84 eventually admits his regret, noting that the building process was the only fun part.
Director Lee So Min shared that the second season shifts from the warm, summer-sea vibe of season one to a cozy yet chaotic winter setting. He noted that the cast grows closer as they gather around campfires to eat, chat and brave the cold together. Kian’s Bizarre B&B Season 2 will stream globally on Netflix starting September 22nd.
