Park Ji Hyun shared her thoughts on filming bold nude scenes for Hidden Face.

Ahead of the film’s release, Park Ji Hyun sat down with SPOTV News on the morning of November 19th at a café in Seoul to discuss the scene.

“When it comes to wardrobe choices, I think you could say no clothing is still a look,” she explained. “The focus wasn’t really on the nudity itself. It’s a scene where Mi Joo seduces Seong Jin in front of Su Yeon, and it happens to involve nudity. But I didn’t see the nudity as the main point.”

She added, “The director envisioned that particular look, and I agreed. When I choose a project as an actress, I try to picture the scenes. For that scene, it made sense to me that it would be portrayed that way. So when the director suggested it, I was on board.”

In the past, films featuring bold nude scenes have often served as milestones for rising actresses. Park Ji Hyun, who first gained attention as the lead in Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum and later starred in dramas like Reborn Rich and Flex X Cop, reflected on this. “I think it’s great that I’m becoming more recognized because it means more people will see the work. Many newcomers have done such roles before, but I don’t think nudity is something limited to newcomers.”

She continued, “Honestly, I would have chosen this project at any point in my career. Whether I was less or more famous, it wouldn’t have changed my decision. The story was compelling, and I was excited to play the character. Fame? I don’t consider myself famous, but the more people know me, the more they’ll watch my work, and I think that’s a good thing.”

Park Ji Hyun also shared how her parents reacted. “My parents have seen me audition for roles with nudity before. Once I became an adult, they fully supported and trusted my decisions as an actress. They didn’t say they were happy about it, but they weren’t upset either. They respected my choice.”

Hidden Face is set to premiere on November 20th.
