Moon Ga Young is set to portray a lawyer in the upcoming tvN drama Seochodong (literal title), a lively and heartfelt series centered on the everyday lives of associate lawyers navigating the bustling legal district of Seochodong. Written by a real-life lawyer, the show promises an authentic portrayal of relatable cases and the personal growth of young legal professionals.
Moon Ga Young stars as Kang Hee Ji, a first-year rookie attorney who has just completed her associate training at a prestigious law firm. Hee Ji is a bold and confident extrovert whose honest and straightforward personality disarms everyone around her. Driven by a desire to protect the people she loves, Hee Ji gave up her dreams of becoming an artist to pursue law, hoping to not only solve legal disputes but also touch her clients’ hearts.
The drama is directed by Park Seung Woo, known for works like Adamas and W. Screenwriter Lee Seung Hyun, a practicing lawyer, penned the script based on personal experiences from their own time as an associate lawyer. Moon will star alongside Lee Jong Suk, who plays Ahn Joo Hyung, a seasoned nine-year associate lawyer who mentors Hee Ji.
Seochodong is slated to premiere on tvN in the first half of next year.
Meanwhile, Moon Ga Young is also busy filming another upcoming tvN project, My Dearest Nemesis.
