Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation recently shared her admiration for the rising K-pop group NewJeans during an episode of “Hyo’s Level Up” on YouTube.
In the video posted on September 11th, Hyoyeon asked Sooyoung if there were any younger artists who caught her eye. Sooyoung didn’t hesitate to reveal her love for NewJeans, saying, “I genuinely just really like them. I just love NewJeans.” Hyoyeon chimed in, agreeing, “They’re great.”
Sooyoung continued, “They’re not just cute—they’re so talented. They’re so good that I can’t stop watching them. I’ve been looking up all their fancams.” Hyoyeon echoed her pride, saying, “You can see them getting better, and even though I didn’t produce them, I feel so proud.”
Sooyoung especially singled out the group’s youngest member, Hyein, sharing, “I should’ve given birth to her. Sometimes I think, ‘I should’ve given birth to Hyein.'” Her playful comment brought laughter to the conversation, with Hyoyeon joking, “Of course you’d love the tall ones.”
