HYBE’s BigHit Music has issued an apology amid accusations of downplaying BTS member Suga’s electric scooter DUI incident.
On the 8th, BigHit Music released a statement explaining, “We described the vehicle Suga used as an ‘electric scooter’ because we thought of the seat as a part of it. It was only during further investigation that we realized that the classification and liability for the accident could vary based on the vehicle’s specifications.”
The statement continued, “We had no intention of minimizing the issue as some have suggested. We apologize for any confusion caused by our hasty communication.”
BigHit Music acknowledged their oversight, stating, “Both we and the artist misunderstood the situation as resolved, not realizing that further procedures were pending. We apologize for the incorrect information shared due to internal communication errors.”
They concluded, “We will fully cooperate with the police’s ongoing investigation and humbly accept the results.”
