Hong Min Gi’s ex-girlfriend has been hospitalized after reportedly taking an excessive amount of medication and is currently receiving treatment.
Her older brother shared an update on her social media account on August 25th, writing, “My sister’s condition is not good, so I’m writing this on her behalf.”
She took an excessive amount of medication, including sleeping pills, on August 23rd after becoming overwhelmed by her past experiences and the emotional shock of the recent situation, according to her brother. She was immediately taken to the emergency room.
He said she remained unconscious in the intensive care unit until the early morning of August 25th. She has since regained consciousness and is able to communicate, but continues to receive treatment and needs time to recover from the emotional distress.
Her brother also denied reports claiming that she caused a disturbance at a police station and wrote a statement there. He asked people to refrain from making speculative comments while she recovers.
The woman publicly accused Hong Min Gi of verbal and physical abuse during their relationship on August 19th. She also alleged that he pressured her to have an abortion.
Hong Min Gi’s agency has denied all of the allegations and announced plans to take legal action against her over alleged repeated stalking. Both sides have reportedly hired attorneys, and a legal dispute is expected to follow.
