Disney Plus is set to unveil the first two episodes of its original series A Shop for Killers today (17th).
Ahead of its debut, pre-released stills capture the attention with a unique scene: Ji An (Kim Hye Jun), who has just moved into her own place for university, is unexpectedly joined by her uncle Jin Man (Lee Dong Wook) emerging from a metal wardrobe.
The oddity of Jin Man’s actions, merely poking his head out of the wardrobe, defies any image of him as a former mercenary. Particularly striking is Ji An, who appears utterly baffled by her uncle’s consistently unpredictable and alarming behavior. This single photo hints at the intriguing relationship and chemistry between the uncle-niece duo, raising anticipation for their story in the series.
Another fascinating aspect is the transformation of Jin Man’s demeanor. From his dramatic change in expression to gripping Ji An’s head with seriousness, it stimulates curiosity. His intense gaze, as if imprinting a crucial message in her, leaves viewers wondering what he has to say.
A Shop for Killers is a stylish new-wave action story about Ji An’s survival against dangerous killers targeting her due to a perilous legacy left by her uncle Jin Man. Starting today with episodes 1 and 2, the series will release two episodes every Wednesday on Disney Plus, totaling eight episodes for the series.
