Singer Jang Beom June, renowned for his band’s hit single “Cherry Blossom Ending,” has canceled his upcoming concert.

The artist went on his YouTube channel on January 1st to share, “I’ve decided to cancel all concert ticket reservations for now due to ticket scalping. I’ll make a new announcement when I find a better solution. I apologize for the inconvenience.”

Back on December 25th last year, Jang Beom June mentioned, “I’m taking a longer break than expected as my album release got delayed. So, I’m thinking about doing some small concerts until its release.” As per his announcement, the performances were set for January 3rd and 4th, with tickets planned to be on sale from the 1st. However, the overwhelming demand led to a quick sellout. After discovering rampant ticket scalping, the singer addressed the issue with a post warning fans about buying overpriced tickets.

Two hours after his announcement, the singer had to cancel all ticket reservations due to an increase in unauthorized ticket reselling. The initial cost of Jang Beom June’s concert tickets was around 50,000 won, but scalpers were reportedly asking for prices three to six times higher.

Fans responded positively to Jang Beom June’s decision, leaving comments such as “Supporting his wise decision,” “I’ll trust him and wait,” “Thanks so much,” and “It was necessary for a better concert experience.”
