2PM’s Chansung has been confirmed to join the cast of MBC’s new drama Our Home (working title), as his agency L’ July Ent. announced on the 21st.

Slated for next year’s lineup, My Home is a black comedy that revolves around the best family psychology counselor. The protagonist, who becomes a target of a blackmailer who threatens both her career and family, collaborates with her mystery novel writer mother-in-law in a desperate attempt to protect her loved ones.

In the drama, Chansung will portray Noh Young Min, the younger brother of the main character Noh Young Won, played by Kim Hee Seon. Unlike his sister, a celebrated family counselor and a well-known public figure, Young Min is an irresponsible and troublesome man.

Chansung expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “The drama My Home features a fresh storyline and compelling dialogues. It’s a work that makes me think deeply about how to perform better, especially being among the actors I’ve always respected.”

Recently, Chansung has been solidifying his position as an actor while also embarking on global activities. He successfully completed his solo fan meeting tour in Tokyo and Osaka on the 9th and 11th, titled “CSBS (ChanSung Broadcasting System),” marking his first solo event in Japan in five years.

Additionally, he finished shooting for the Korean segment Hong Kong Within Me of the short film project Hong Kong in the Lens, a collaboration between CJ ENM and the Hong Kong Tourism Board. Directed by Kang Yun Sung of The Outlaws and Big Bet and co-starring Hyerim, the project is set to be released in Korea and across Asia after November.
