It’s great news for K-drama enthusiasts. Kang You Seok and Shin Si A are making their way into the highly anticipated tvN drama spinoff, Someday Hospital Playlist.
ANDMARQ made an announcement on the 21st, saying, “Shin Si A has been cast in Someday Hospital Playlist and will be taking on the role of a first-year OB-GYN resident.” Not to be outdone, the next day, HODU&U Entertainment confirmed, “Kang You Seok is positively reviewing his appearance in Someday Hospital Playlist.”
Someday Hospital Playlist is an upcoming spinoff of the mega-popular Hospital Playlist, focusing on the down-to-earth experiences and friendships among professors and residents at a university hospital. This time around, however, the spotlight is on OB-GYN residents.
Previously, Go Youn Jung had already locked in her appearance as a first-year OB-GYN resident, boosting the excitement level even further. Shin Si A blasted through competition rates of 1,408:1 to debut in the film The Witch: Part 2. The Other One. As for Kang You Seok, he also broke through tough odds of 1,500:1 to snatch the lead role in the Netflix original Black Knight. It’s safe to say that these three are set to steer Someday Hospital Playlist into becoming must-see TV.
Behind the camera, Someday Hospital Playlist marks the collaboration of The Stranger director Lee Min Soo and writer Kim Song Hee, who assisted on hits like Reply 1988 and Hospital Playlist.
