Yoo Ah In partially denied the allegations of habitual drug use when questioned by reporters as he faced possible arrest.
On the morning of September 21st, Judge Yoon Jae Nam of the Seoul Central District Court conducted a pre-arrest questioning of Yoo Ah In and his acquaintance, Mr. Choi, who are facing charges of violating the Drug Control Act, obstruction of evidence, and fleeing the scene.
Before the substantive examination of the arrest warrant, Yoo Ah In told reporters, “I’m really sorry for causing concern all this time. I will fully cooperate with the hearing today.”
When asked about allegations of instructing the destruction of evidence and coercion to smoke marijuana, he shook his head and said, “No.”
Yoo Ah In is accused of habitually using medical narcotics, including propofol, from 2020, and illegally getting prescribed to 1,000 sleeping pills. In January, he was also charged with taking illegal narcotics, including cocaine and marijuana, with four acquaintances, including Mr. Choi.
On the 18th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s Serious Crime Investigation Division requested an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah In on charges of violating the Drug Control Act, obstruction of evidence, and fleeing the scene.
An arrest warrant was previously requested in May but was rejected. The prosecution re-applied for the warrant after additional investigations revealed that the celebrity had instructed an acquaintance to destroy evidence and had forced them to smoke marijuana in the United States.

Hypocrisy seems to be everyone’s metal in this country. Frankly I don’t care what he got up to in his personal life. I have watched some of his dramas and I liked every single one of them. I would happily watch any future ventures he is part of. I guess the entertainment business as what it is and filled with major fair weather Amigos, now he is in difficulties have had left his side, it will never happen in this fickle country. My advice to him, never forget the ones that kicked you while you were down. Karma has a strange way of working its way through everyone.
How can you force someone to smoke marajuana? The actions of these people is so hypocritical. It seems to me there are too many people willing to supply drugs instead of referring someone for counselling to find another way of coping with pain
