The prosecution is set to re-evaluate the drug-related allegations against Yoo Ah In.
According to legal sources on the 4th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office decided to conduct a comprehensive re-review of the drug case involving Yoo Ah In.
The actor faced accusations of administering five types of drugs, marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, zolpidem, and propofol. But soon, that number rose to seven including additional medicinal drugs, midazolam, and alprazolam. Recently, the police requested an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah In, but the court dismissed it. They stated, “We have substantial evidence related to the crime, and the defendant has largely admitted to most of the charges.”
After narrowly avoiding arrest, Yoo Ah In expressed, “I respect and am grateful for the court’s decision. I will sincerely engage in the remaining procedures and do my best to clarify everything.”
However, the prosecution believes that the court’s dismissal of Yoo Ah In’s arrest warrant, despite his facing charges of habitual use of more than seven types of drugs, deviates from common sense. As the prosecution is also considering reapplying for an arrest warrant for him, it has sparked interest whether the actor will once again face the possibility of arrest.
