Lee Chae Min is looking back on his screen debut alongside the late Kim Sae Ron with deep gratitude.

Kim Sae Ron’s final film Everyday, We (literal title) is set to open on March 4th. The coming-of-age romance, based on a webtoon of the same name, follows a group of teens navigating their first love. Director Kim Min Jae described the late star as “the best actor” he had ever worked with, calling her “more polite and beautiful than anyone else.”

A press screening and media conference for the film was held yesterday at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul. Director Kim Min Jae and cast members Lee Chae Min, Choi Yu Ju, and Ryoo Ui Hyun attended. The film is the final project of Kim Sae Ron, who passed away in February last year.

Director Kim said, “Among all the actors I’ve met, she was the best. She was someone born to act,” adding, “As a director, it was an infinite honor to work with her.” He continued, “I saw so much sincerity in her, and I believe she will be remembered forever. When you’re young, you make mistakes, and as you grow older, you become a better person. It’s heartbreaking that we won’t get to see her grow more.”

Lee Chae Min also reflected on what he learned from his co-star. “She taught me so many little details,” he said. “Looking back now, I’m incredibly grateful.” He added, “”I was very nervous on set, but she helped ease the mood like a friend. Whenever there was something I needed, she told me honestly, and thanks to her, I was able to finish filming safely.”

Choi Yu Ju remembered feeling anxious on her first day but said Kim Sae Ron quickly put her at ease. “She always made things cheerful on the set,” she shared. “She was an experienced actress and a colleague who kindly taught me everything with a smile.”

Ryoo Ui Hyun said, “There was so much to learn from her. She is a friend I miss and want to see again.
