The new fantasy drama titled Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon, starring Jang Dong Gun, Lee Joon Gi, Shin Se Kyung and Kim Ok Bin, has been confirmed to air on Disney Plus.
Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon is the second season of Arthdal Chronicles, set in a fictional South Korean kingdom. The new season takes place eight years after Tagon takes the throne.
Jang Dong Gun plays Tagon, the first king to wage war in Arthda for absolute power. Lee Joon Gi takes on the role of the Ago Tribe’s leader named Eun Seom who advances towards Arthdal for freedom. Shin Se Kyung portrays Tanya, the high priest of Arthdal, who uses God’s will for the sake of the people, and Kim Ok Bin plays the role of Tae Alha, a politician who does everything to achieve her goals.
Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 is helmed by The Great Battle director Kim Kwang Sik and writers Kim Young Hyeon and Park Sang Yeon.
Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon will be released in September.
