King the Land has become the second drama in South Korea to claim the top spot on Netflix, following Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

According to FlixPatrol, King the Land secured the number one position on Netflix as of July 26th by garnering an impressive 4.7 million views and 65.1 million watch hours.

Even though Sweet Magnolias Season 3 became the most popular English show on Netflix with an impressive 4.6 million views and 39.5 million viewing hours, it couldn’t surpass the success of King the Land. The South Korean drama has been topping the Netflix chart, claiming the top position in both the English and non-English categories for two consecutive weeks.

Among domestically airing dramas, excluding original series, King the Land has become the first drama to claim the top spot in the TV category (both English and non-English) since Extraordinary Attorney Woo.

King the Land‘s popularity isn’t limited to South Korea alone, as it has secured a spot in the Top 10 list in 46 countries. Its global appeal has soared, especially after its belated release in South America and India in mid-July. Remarkably, the show continues to enjoy immense popularity, captivating audiences not only in Asia but also in South America and North America.
