Kim Seon Ho Dishes on the Behind-the-Scenes of ‘The Childe’

Kim Seon Ho revealed behind-the-scenes stories of his new movie The Childe. On the 29th, Kim Seon Ho guest appeared on MBC FM4U’s Good Morning FM.

 

Kim Seon Ho successfully made his debut as the lead on the big screen through the movie The Childe (Director Park Hoon Jung) released on the 21st. The Childe presents an intense action thriller that takes place in an illegal boxing ring in the Philippines. Boxer Marco (Kang Tae Joo) finds himself entangled in a web of conflicting organizations, including the enigmatic figure known as “The Childe” (Kim Seon Ho).

During the show, the actor confessed, “This was my first time playing a villain. So I was worried about how the audience would receive it.”

To pull off his intense action sequences revealed, “I had been practicing the sequences for two months in advance. I even got to fire an actual gun at a shooting range.” He continued, “I was startled at first since it had been so long since I last fired a gun, but I strived to adapt.”

About all the scenes involving running, Kim Seon Ho admitted, “I don’t really like running.” He continued, “I prefer low-intensity, low-repetition exercises.” In response to host Tei’s compliment about his excellent physical condition, he modestly replied, “I try my best.”

Additionally, regarding the scenes where his character speaks English fluently, he shared, “I’m not originally proficient in English. I started practicing with an English teacher about a month and a half ago.” Despite his efforts, he confessed, “I couldn’t lift my head when those scenes came up in the film. Kim Kang Woo, who was sitting next to me, comforted me by saying, ‘It’s not bad.'”
