Kim Woo Bin opened up about his battle with nasopharyngeal cancer, which caused him to take a hiatus from his career.
The upcoming episode of tvN’s Yoo Quiz On The Block teased a guest appearance by none other than Kim Woo Bin, who shared some fascinating tidbits about his past.
The teaser shows that Kim Woo Bin aspired to become a model during his school days and followed a rigorous diet of one egg per day, along with supplements and chicken breast. The show even uncovered a legendary post that he made on the entrance exam bulletin board during his high school days, causing him to blush in embarrassment and laugh nervously. When Yoo Jae Suk mentioned that he had written down a whopping 27 questions, Kim replied that his goal-driven mindset always pushed him to work hard to achieve what he wanted.
During the episode, Kim Woo Bin called his close friend Lee Kwang Soo, prompting Yoo Jae Suk to ask for his impression of the actor. “How do you think of Woo Bin?” he inquired. Lee Kwang Soo didn’t hesitate to reply, “He’s manly.” Not satisfied with the response, Yoo Jae Suk playfully quipped back, leading to a witty exchange between the trio. Lee Kwang Soo even teased, “You didn’t like my answer, did you?” causing everyone to burst out laughing. In the end, Kim Woo Bin hastily hung up on his mischievous friend, exclaiming, “I’m done,” and causing the entire room to erupt in laughter.

The star confessed, “I was scared,” and opened up about what he has been writing in his personal journal. “I’ve been keeping a journal for about 14-15 years now. At first, I used to write about the significant events in my life that had a lasting impact on me. However, with time, I started paying attention to the little things I used to take for granted. Simple things like making sure I had three meals a day became significant, and I started documenting them in my journal,” he revealed during the teaser.
