Song Hye Kyo is beginning a new chapter after parting ways with her longtime agency, UAA.

On June 26th, UAA, or United Artists Agency, announced in an official statement, “Our exclusive contract with Song Hye Kyo recently expired. UAA and Song Hye Kyo, who have worked together for a long time with mutual trust, have decided to conclude their partnership and cheer each other on in the future.”

The agency continued, “The actress has received great love not only in Korea but across Asia and around the world during her many years with UAA. The time we spent with her will remain a happy and joyful memory.”

UAA added that Song is now standing at a new starting line and asked fans to continue sending her warm support, encouragement and love.

According to JTBC Entertainment News, Song is set to launch a one-person agency. An entertainment industry source recently told the outlet, “Song Hye Kyo is making a fresh start after wrapping up her exclusive contract with UAA. She is setting up a one-person agency.”

Staff members who have worked with Song for years, including her stylist, are expected to support her as she takes her first steps on her own.

Song signed an exclusive contract with UAA after the agency was established in November 2012. After more than 13 years together, she is closing this chapter with the company, drawing attention to where she will head next.

Meanwhile, Song is set to meet global viewers with Netflix’s Tantara, which is scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year.
