BTS member J-Hope is enlisting in the military as the second member of the group on April 18th.

According to the music industry, J-Hope will enter a training camp in a Korean Army division in Gangwon Province on the day of his enlistment. This comes four months after the first member of BTS, Jin, who enlisted in December of last year.

On the night before his enlistment, J-Hope posted a photo on the fan community app Weverse of himself with a short haircut and saluting, along with a message that said, “I love you, ARMY. I’ll come back safe and sound.”

Earlier on April 1st, Big Hit Music announced that “J-Hope is set to fulfill his mandatory military service as an active-duty soldier in the army” and “there will be no separate official event on the day of his enlistment at the training camp.”

In a Weverse live broadcast on April 14th, J-Hope reassured his fans by saying, “Don’t worry, I’ll perform my duties well in the military.” He also shared, “I had some concerns a week ago, but now I’m feeling so okay that I’m wondering if it’s okay to feel this way. Time passes really quickly. I’ll do my best and return safely.”
