Will Lee Seung Gi reunite with Director Yang Woo Suk?
According to the film industry, Lee Seung Gi is in positive discussions to join director Yang Woo Suk’s new work Noodles (literal title). Noodles is a factional work based on the life of Samyang Foods Chairman Jeon Jung Yoon, who developed Korea’s first ramyeon. It’s Director Yang’s first project after The Big Family. Yang has been working on this project right after Steel Rain 2: Summit and released it as a book first.
Previously, Director Yang and Lee Seung Gi had worked together in The Big Family, which is about an elite medical student who leaves his father and becomes the head of a temple. Lee Seung Gi had caught attention for shaving his head like a monk while filming the movie and was seen wearing a wig while hosting JTBC’s survival show Peak Time.
Insiders say Yang and Lee Seung Gi built trust in each other while shooting The Big Family and have decided to join hands once again for Noodles. However, as director Yang is currently in post-production for The Big Family and Noodles is still in the casting process, the pre-production for Noodles is expected to start in the second half of this year.
Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi married actress Lee Da In on the 7th. After wrapping up Peak Time, he’ll begin his Asia tour concert “The Dreamers Dream – Chapter 2” starting in Seoul on May 4th.
