Song Hye Kyo opened up about the worries she had before The Glory was released.

On Wednesday, Song Hye Kyo, Writer Kim Eun Sook, and Director Ahn Gil Ho attended the GV for The Glory Part 2.

“Before part 1 was released, I was full of worries,” the actress shared on this day. “All I could see was what I lacked in, so when I received all the praises after the show got released, I couldn’t even think straight. It’s been a while since my drama became a hit.” She went on, “I was thrilled. It was my first revenge/thriller genre, so everything was difficult and tough. So every scene, I was worried if I’d done it right.”

When asked about how she’s been spending her time before the release of part 2, Song Hye Kyo replied, “At first, I was the same as the viewers. I wanted it to come out quickly, but as the wait got longer, I got scared that people might forget about (The Glory).” Then she raised expectations, commenting, “I’m thinking, ‘Won’t all the traps Dong Eun set up in part 1 explode (in part 2)?’ That’ll be a lot of fun.”

For Song Hye Kyo, the most memorable moment on the set was her scar makeup which took about 4 to 5 hours. She then mentioned the scene where she showed her body to Lee Do Hyun, “I went on a diet for that scene. I only ate bananas for three days, and the day before, I didn’t even drink water. After putting on makeup in that state, I thought I just might die before the filming even started. My body was exhausted, and I think that perfected the scene.”

Lastly, she thanked the fans, saying, “It was a great honor to be able to sympathize with everyone, to be in pain together, and to be able to share these feelings.” She continued, “I’m grateful and delighted that I was given the role of Moon Dong Eun. Portraying her was tough and excruciating, but it was also meaningful in that I got to show that even someone like Moon Dong Eun can do something and have hopes.”

Meanwhile, The Glory Part 2 will be released on the 10th on Netflix.
