Keum Sae Rok sat down for an interview following The Interest of Love‘s wrap and shared what it was like playing Park Mi Kyung in the drama.

Her character in the drama is very upfront about her feelings for Ha Sang Soo (played by Yoo Yeon Seok). Many viewers have said that her character is the one that is most relatable among the other main characters. Regarding this view, the actress explained, “Every character in the series has hurt their self-esteem in the past. This drama was like a secret journal for me. I felt like I was pouring all of my private thoughts and past experiences in the note.”

Park Mi Kyung’s love for Ha Sang Soo never dies in the drama, though he keeps pushing her away. Keum Sae Rok shared, “I too thought a lot about that as well. When I asked the director for help, he gave me a hint with one of the lines I said in the show, ‘Give me only a percent of your love, and I will fill in the rest.’ How Mi Kyung feels was more important to her, so she must have felt confident about winning Sang Soo’s heart in the end. So I acted while chewing over that line to pull off the character.”

Talking about the love and support she receives from viewers, she expressed, “I was happy and grateful to receive such great love and support. I was a bit disappointed and sad after completing the filing, but viewers were there to comfort me.”
