Netflix has temporarily postponed the release of its new original series The Fabulous.

The Fabulous follows the four best friends as they chase their dreams in the competitive world of fashion while juggling demanding jobs, romantic dilemmas and wild nights in the town. Chae Soo Bin, SHINee’s Minho, Lee Sang Woon, Park Heejung, and more star in the show.

With the Itaewon Halloween tragedy that claimed the lives of over 150 people shocking the globe, many of the entertainment-related events, including the press conference for The Fabulous, postponed their schedules. At the time, Netflix announced, “With the national mourning period announced, we have decided to temporarily postpone the press conference for The Fabulous scheduled for November 2nd. The premiere, set for the 4th, will also be temporarily postponed.”

However, there’s a reason Netflix “indefinitely” pushed back The Fabulous premiere – the show includes a Halloween festival. The special music video released earlier shows a glimpse into this festival from an aerial view. It is said that this festival scene plays an important role in understanding the emotional flow of the characters, meaning it just can’t be cut out. Also, considering how subtitles need to be created for overseas distribution, shooting scenes to replace them is impossible, realistically speaking.

The Fabulous will be able to greet the viewers once the pain and shock of this tragic crown crush dial down.
