Park Eun Bin rocked in the color pink in the new pictorial for Vogue Korea.
“I kept away from pink when I was young because it has a symbolic meaning to me,” she said in the interview that followed the photoshoot. “Now, my heart is no longer closed to the color. It’s a color that makes me feel good when you have an item in pink.”
The actress recalled her days as a child actor. “My mom told me that I looked into the mirror a lot, but I was always too embarrassed to see myself on the cameras. It took me a long time to face myself.” However, her tendency to keep a certain distance from the media helped her with her acting. She said, “I can avoid the self-contradiction of imitating someone else’s performance. I think this tendency has been motivating me to find something unique that’s just for me.”
“When I was young, I was always worried about whether an actor is a good fit for me,” Park Eun Bin added. “There were so many talented, social child actors. And I knew I could never be like that. But gradually, the belief that even an introverted person like me can create a bigger explosive power grew within me.”
Not long ago, Park Eun Bin‘s drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo became a global hit. “Now that it’s all over, I can say that I wished the focus wouldn’t solely be on autism. I thought people wouldn’t be able to see the many possibilities hidden within if the disability was the center of focus,” she recalled.
“Satisfying everyone is impossible, and I kept censoring my own performance, thinking, ‘Could I express this differently as an actor?'” she went on. “Even if what we showed weren’t the correct answer, we hoped that at least it wouldn’t be a wrong answer. We all gave our all, hoping that our sincerity wouldn’t be distorted.”
The last question was about the moment she felt was valuable and beautiful. Bringing up the first fan meeting she hosted recently, Park Eun Bin commented, “The energy of people who look at me so lovingly really makes me happy. I can’t always capture their hearts, but I thought it’d be great if I could at least become an actor who won’t embarrass them.”
