Namkoong Min is returning to the small screen as a “one dollar lawyer.”
On the 15th, the actor shared his thoughts on One Dollar Lawyer through a written interview. “I was touched by the sincerity that the crew showed when I met them,” he opened up. “I thought I’d get to make a good drama if I worked with such good people.”
He then went on to introduce his character Chun Ji Hoon. “Chun Ji Hoon seems pleasant on the outside,” Namkoong Min shared. “At first glance, comics-like elements such as ‘One dollar attorney’s fee’ and ‘fancy attire’ stand out. But there is a warm, sincere story with it. I was drawn to the power it had, how it captured both fun and emotions at the same time.”
“Rather than being elegant, serious, or sophisticated, Chun Ji Hoon is an unpredictable weirdo,” he went on, showing affection for his role. “Believing that all is equal before the law, he has a noble and dignified belief of realizing social justice.” He continued, “Chun Ji Hoon is a spokesperson for many clients who have no choice but to ask help for this weird lawyer who charges their clients one dollar.”
The episode that Namkoong Min chose as a must-watch is episode 4. “In episode 4, he and his office family encounter a mysterious case. While defending the client, they solve the case. You’ll be able to feel the thrill watching it.”
Lastly, the actor commented, “Attorney Chun is the weirdest attorney you’d have ever seen. And you’ll be moved when you find out why he only charges one dollar and his past.”
Meanwhile, One Dollar Lawyer will premiere on the 23rd at 10 PM KST.
