Cho Seung Woo has been cast in the new drama Sacred Divorce (literal title).

According to JTBC, Cho Seung Woo will be playing a divorce lawyer in Sacred Divorce. He’ll transform into Shin Sung Han, a competent lawyer who presents victory to those standing in the difficult path of life called “divorce.”

Shin Sung Han majored in piano and worked as a professor at a university in Germany. However, after coming upon shocking news, he becomes a lawyer to find out the truth. It is said that there’s a history behind the reason he became a divorce lawyer, raising expectations.

From a classical musician to a hard-bitten lawyer who loves trot, Shin Sung Han will help his clients with their troubles and approach the truth that he’s been after.

Meanwhile, Sacred Divorce is based on a webtoon of the same name. Writer Yoo Young Ah, who recently made a hit with Thirty-Nine, will pen the scripts.

“We feel reassured to be working with actor Cho Seung Woo, who is perfect for playing the role of Shin Sung Han,” the production team shared. “We will prepare well so that viewers can empathize with realistic episodes about divorce and his journey of finding out the truth.”
