So Ji Sub, Shin Sung Rok, and Im Soo Hyang have officially joined the production of Doctor Lawyer (literal title).
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday series Doctor Lawyer is a medical suspense court drama about a genius surgeon who became a lawyer after losing everything due to a fabricated surgery and a prosecutor in the medical crime department. For this highly-anticipated project, �Class of Lies �writer Jang Hong Chul and �Haechi �and �Iljimae �director Lee Yong Sung have come together.
First, So Ji Sub plays the medical malpractice lawyer Han Yi Han who used to be a double board-certified genius surgeon. Before losing everything due to an incident, Han Yi Han was once called the “ace surgeon” for his skills and charms. Five years later, he returns as a lawyer with a vendetta, proving an exhilarating catharsis.
Shin Sung Rok takes on the role of Jayden Lee. He’s the manager at the Asian branch of Honors Hand, a company specializing in lobbying and investment. Jayden Lee is a third-generation Korean American with an untamable heart, willing to throw himself at risk for success and thrill.
Lastly, Im Soo Hyang turns into Geum Suk Young, a prosecutor in the medical crime division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. She has a firm belief that the rehabilitation of criminals comes from punishment. But at the same time, she is someone who’ll wholeheartedly defend the innocence of wrongfully-accused defendants.
Meanwhile, Doctor Lawyer will premiere on May 27th at 9:50 PM KST.
