Blueming has announced its premiere date with its official teaser trailer and poster. To My Star director Hwang Da Seul helms the series.
Blueming is a campus-based romance drama about two college boys studying film. It follows a boy named Siwon who puts a great deal of effort to keep his popularity, as he meets his new rival Daun. The upcoming series is based on a popular BL webtoon named There’s Something Wrong With My Popularity, which had hit 230,000 views on the Kakao Page.
The released video gives a sneak peek into the vibrant campus lives of the first-year students at the filming department. It begins with the line that says, “Popular kids shine on their own,” and shows how much effort Siwon puts into himself to maintain his reputation and popularity within the school. Then Siwon meets this perfect student named Daun, who effortlessly wins everyone’s hearts.
The teaser highlights Si Won trying his best to be in shape and look good, while the born-to-be-popular guy Daun gets all sorts of warm welcoming despite his absence at the first-year orientation. The scene then cuts to the two riding bicycles together and spending time on the beach, suggesting that there has been a special event that changed the relationship between the two. Many are wondering how the two will play out their relationship on the show.
