Han So Hee announced through her agency on the 7th that she has no plans to take responsibility for her mother’s debts.
According to 9ato Entertainment, the actress’ mother Mrs. Shin used a bank account under Han So Hee’s name in the process of borrowing money. Mrs. Shin arbitrarily opened the bank account when Han So Hee was a minor and used it to borrow money without notifying the actress. Moreover, Mrs. Shin was even accused of forging a private document. A civil trial was held with these series of cases, and the court stated clearly that the actions were conducted without the celebrity’s knowledge or consent.
The agency also quoted the Ulsan District Court’s final ruling on April 8th, 2021, which stated, “Money was borrowed with an account under Han So Hee’s name, but it is insufficient to acknowledge that she is jointly responsible for the debt and there is no evidence on her involvement.”
The star’s rep firm noted that she is taking actions to prevent future damage. They added, “We have decided to make a statement in the hope that there will be no more victims in the future.”
Han So Hee said, “It is true that we cannot break the relationship of being a mother and a daughter. I am truly sorry to those who have been harmed. I promise that something like this will not happen again in the future.”
